Why are runway models expressionless when they do fashion shows?

    The models aren't the stars. Their job is to make the clothes they're modeling as appealing as possible. Any kind of facial expression would draw attention to their faces, and that's not what they're paid to do. They want to do nothing to distract the audience or take the attention away from the clothes they are showing.
