Can The State rule to Fire someone?

So if a ran a place, could the state force me to resign?

    To answer your broad question broadly, yes the State could rule to fire someone through arbitration, denial of unemployment claims, or other action against an employee. The key word being "employee".

    The "owner" or "manager" or someone who "ran the place", could be forced to close the business (and in a sense "fired") if a violation of "public policy" was found - unsanitary conditions, unsafe building, illegal activity, etc.
