I think you only have to pay sales taxes when you purchase goods by mail from a company within your state

If they also do business in your state, you may have to pay. Thats how it works in MA. My father ordered a fridge from a dealer in NH (no tax) but had to pay Mass tax because the dealer had a loation in Mass
