Your DVD player may not support features within the version of DivX that you are using to create your videos.
You need to find out what version of DivX is supported by your DVD player and if it has any compatibility issues with any of those versions. When you create and save your DivX files, you must save them in a compatible format. My main DVD player, for example, supports DivX v5.1, while the current Windows release is v6.4.
Some software 'standards' are subject to continous revision, while your DVD player will only support the version stored in its own firmware at the factory, unless it can be upgraded in the field.
