  • Honestly I always went to my mom and asked her for what to do as she really knew what my dad wanted and if she knew that he had a different thought than hers, she'd go talk to him about it if she thought it was important enough or else would just go with what he said. My parents were always in agreement about things, with just rare exceptions.
  • Get the two of them in the same room, restate what each said and ask them if they would please clarify what they wish you to do. Make sure you ask politely in a normal tone of voice.
