I think some people are drawn to melodrama. Especially when they are bored and have little else to do in the middle of the afternoon.

I think it helps u escape from ur world in2 theirs. I mean, u watch 1 day & ur hooked & when u watch them continuously, the stories seem 2 make sense but if u tried explaining them 2 some1 else who didn't watch, it just sounds completely crazy. LoL, which it is. But I still watch AMC & OLTL.
