Does anyone remember how nice it was to have real snow loads of it in the 70's, i tell my kids about the fun we had, but now there's not even enough snow to make a snow man.

    Yes, I remember actually having snow days off from school. I think the last big snow here that shut things down was in 1995 or 1996, but other than the big snow of 1978-1979 there really hasn't been a lot. I am astounded that it's January and 60+ degrees here today.

    I remember lots of snow when I was young, then in 1973 we moved to the high desert of Arizona and I only saw an occassional snow storm. The Detroit area (where I grew up) still gets loads of snow though, should I ever want it again.
