What city / town in Maine is the first place to see the sunrise each moring

    Lubec is the easternmost town in Maine.

    Eastport is the easternmost city in Maine.

    Of the two, I believe Lubec is the furthest East (but not by much!) So they probably both see the sun at just about the same moment.

    Sail Rock is a tiny "island" (not really an island, it's just a rock) just off the coast of Lubec. I have heard claims that it is the first.

    However, since Cadillac Mountain in Acadia is very tall, I have also heard claims that it is the first to see the sun each morning.

    So, take your pick.
