Can Pakistan defeat India in the future war?

hmmmmm.... how about the Indo-Israeli nexus guys? India & Israel together cut pakistan into 2 pieces in the liberation war of 1971, creating the state of Bangladesh...
In 1999, Israel at 24hours notice, provided India with laser guided missiles, UAVs and ammo, and in the next 4 days, Pak forces retreated... Where were ur chinese & arab friends at those times??
Under the present scenario, India is being equipped to the teeth by US, EU & Israel, and most of its procurements are aimed at neutralizing the chinese threat in Asia... any misadventure by china into Indian territory, chinese will face the risk of attack by Japan, Vietnam, S.Korea (which may attack NK, and PRC wont like a staunch US ally on its S.E border in the form of a unified Korea)...
However w.r.t just India & Pakistan...India has clear advantage... Indian navy can easily block all supplies into Pakistan.. IN is far superior to PN in terms of quality as well as quantity. India fields 1 a/c carrier currently, another to be inducted in 2 years time.. and 1 more by 2015 and another 2 by 2020. PN has neither. IN has P-8I (induction in 2011), giving it unparalleled (in entire Asia, USN & IN are the only 2 users of this at present) reconnaissance ability over its shores. India's nuke subs are too silent for PN to pick up. It would be better to compare PN with the Indian coast guard, honestly.

PAF & IAF may have a match, but PAF only has F-16s (block 52, around 36, additional 18 to be upgraded from block 30 to block 52) as the competitive fighter, whereas the IAF fields Su-30MKI in vast numbers, Mig29SMBTs, MiG21K... all 4.5G, all highly BVR capable (beyond visual range).. for this PAF doesnt really have anything to rely back on. Since F-16s can be used as air superiority and can be easily tied down by the IAF MiG21K or 29SMBT, but then PAF will still have the bloody Su-30MKI to answer to amongst others...
JF-17 is a nice fighter plane, no doubt, but IAF also hase Tejas MKII (induction has begun) and in numbers the PAF simply cant match... And Im not including the Indian MRCA, Indian T-50 and Indian FGFA into this, they all would be well above any aircraft PAF has, T-50 is somewhat like a clone of F-22, and FGFA of F-35. Even lockheed martin has offered to sell the Indian Navy F-35B.
Anyhow back to topic, Indian army fields the C17s & C-130J, Phalcon AWACS.... big time force multipliers, Pak's ZAK03 AWACS is also commendable but not in the same class as phalcons, even the PLAAF fears the phalcons..
T-72B2 (not the crap sold to the iraqis), T90 & Arjuns and these will be equally matched by Pakistan's Al-Khalid (T-80 tanks).. here also india enjoys numerical superiority and may have better radar systems mounted thanks to Israel and better range & target sighting thanks to the Phalcons.
The best Pakistan armed forces can do is play the role of a defender against Indian armed forces aggression and hope for international intervention else in a stretched war India will easily outgun Pakistan, while in a skirmish Pakistan may only face stiff competition, but wont be able to penetrate Indian territory or cause much damage to its enemy, India.
on SAM (surface to air missiles, which are used to shoot down a/c) India enjoys huge numerical superiority & better radar/target locking, they can just use their drones to deplete PA's SAM reserves and then use flankers to take out enemy bases...

All in all few years back the competition may have been a close one, but now Indian armed forces are out of pakistan's league... and they both should settle their differences in the board room, cuz next war, wont do any good to anyone anywhere...
US will invade Pakistan... CIA is already carrying out drone strikes in pakistan, and if India & Pakistan go to war, US/NATO army will increase its presence in waziristan to take larger action against the terror network there, something which Gen. Kayani is not in favor of presently... The only question that would be left in such a scenario is of nukes... which is the biggest deterrent against any invasion Pakistan has, be it Indian or Nato. worse comes to worse, Pak may fire the nukes, Indian SAM's get a few and they blow up over Pakistan itself, some enter Indian airspace and cause major destruction in a couple of cities, India retaliates with its own nukes, entire Pakistan is evaported...

This all may sound too easy, but the nuke scenario will cause a lot of carnage, a lot of innocent lives will be lost in both the countries.. nobody wants that, hence its down to the political leaders of the both the countries to settle their disputes through talks and discussion.

If it was a conventional weapons war I think India would win.Both have a nuclear arsenal but they would not use them.India has approximately 1.5 million regular soldiers and just under 1.4 million reserves. Pakistan has approximately 640,000 with a reserve of approximately 500,000.However both sides could increase their armies by conscription.They say that the Pakistan army is better equipped,but the Indian army are better trained.Lets hope that war does not happen as it might start a chain reaction in Asia.

Never, Pakistanis claim that Pak army is better equiped which is not true. indian soldiers are far more superior in terms of training, equipments and morale.
pakistani army was equally good a few years ago but it now operate more with jihadi ideas than military doctrine. India on the other hand increasing their arsenal, to counter china many other countries are also helping india. India now thinking of countering china. pakistanis use junk chinese equipment which are not a match for indian army.

No one can defeat anybody. World will not allow it. In the 1971 war, pakistan had used 85% of their weapons and would have been broken into 4 pieces. The USA nuclear 7th fleet was in the Bay of Bengal and would have made a mess in Calcutta. Also, the chinese had warned India that if they step into Kashmir, China will attack them. So, limited warfare. The same applies to Russia, China or any other invader. If the thought is of a nuclear war, someone would have to be insane to use them. We all saw Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

First of all , the war is fought on the basis of morale and passion and Pakistani army is number one in this.Their successful action in the northern areas against millitants in the tough hilly terrain has proved they are superior while Indian army is coward and there are lot of examples in the past regarding this ;hence they can never fight with that courage;no matter either they are best euipped or they are large in number.Moreover,Pakistan is never alone ,there is lot of hidden financial and stretegic support to Pakistan from all over muslim world and china.If India ever come to war against Pakistan,even the Jihadi groups in India and Kashmir will stand against India.China will also invade India taking the advantage of the situation.It is ultimate fact recognised by the Indian Media that most of the Indian Missiles are not properly operational and tested.You can also see video of their failed missile tests on youtube.com. well we are waiting for that time when india will strike on us.we know that india has ore man &fire power but no courage we all see what happens to indian missile tests.they take tie period of nearly 3 decades to built tejas and one ore thing the arjun tanks are failed by their own army.its all on the indian reports.we know that nukes are every where and no one wannt to use them but when you have nothing then what can u do.i know americans and israeils has give u back up but when the tie coe i assure u that they are the first who ranaway from the area.we have one special thing under testing and i know that none of the whole world has that weapon..only pakistan had.and its dangerous for thoes who invades.

well every possible angle has been cleared by Rambo09,Nice job.Lockheed martins plan to sell f35s...didn kno abt dat.thanx.Also One thing is clear that Pakistan being a muslim nation will have a lot of support from many rogue muslim and arab nations.The point to be noted is that India has higher muslim population compared to pakistan.Many muslim countries like Afghanistan,Bahrain,Egypt,Iran,few ex-soviet nations support India.Plus the fun fact is that all muslim countries consider israel as their mortal enemy whereas Israel is one of the greatest allies of India.Even if the muslim countries didnt help indians the israeli help is enough for india to win a war with the pakis.Israelis have the best minds when it comes to military technology.
Thus the only field where the pakis may level with the indians are the Nuclear field.Even in this indians are better with much better nuclear defence and nuclear detternce.India is also going to complete nuclear triad soon.So pakis are gonna get some serious ass kicking if they try to go to war with the indians
