I've seen several sites of people in need and was wandering...has anyone ever been in a financial bind despite working hard to make ends meet. then asked for financial donations online and actually recieved help?

I signed up for up one time and there were testimonials from people who had rec. help. I asked for assistance for a dental bill cause I couldn't afford it and they told me I had to go to the dentist, get a copy of how much it would cost and send to them and they could assist me (if I had money to pay him for that I wouldn't need their assistance).. so I have heard testimonials but no body that I know personally

I have seen some of these "Cyber Begging" sites which (for a fee) will post your request..I think 3-4 months and you then maybe, or maybe not get someone to "Donate" to you. How true these requests are, is up to the poster and your belief they are being honest. Now a days, many are looking for help, when they should be looking at their spending habits. Many will think "Oh I CANNOT do without this or that!" Bull, I've gone 5 months without a constant source of power, running water or decent bathroom. I was living in the midwest (My own land, starting out) and while I didn't make it, I learned there's ALOT I can do without and still had spare cash left over..Just not enough for me and bills..
