Have you ever been stabbed underneath your fingernails? Anyone know of anything I can do to alleviate the pain?

I'm hoping your speaking in terms of accidental and not a torture thing. Sorry, I'm not much help in the alleviation other than just enduring the pain......

Yeah, it's pretty horrible, but I think the only thing you can do is grin and bear it.

Ran a piece of wood under a finger nail once and placed my finger in epson salts and warm water and it made sure I did not get an infection and helped eleviate the pain. Hope this helps!

Put the injury in ice water.

Numerous times (Splinters). Make sure you have the whole splinter (or whatever stabbed you) out of there. Put Triple-Antibiotic (Mycetracin(sp?)) and bandaids over your finger for a couple of days. The pain doesn't go away easily, but it will.
