Not necessarily. As you workout, testosterone is released...even in women. The larger the muscles, the more testosterone that has been released, thus creating more masculine characteristics.
Maybe they're like Mrs. Doubtfire..an actor who couldn't get a break as a guy masquerading as a gal...well, could happen! Maybe the "women" bodybuilders are really guys in disguise. :)
that's one of a few signs you can look for, but some women also have naturally deep voices. i wouldn't make that assumption based only on the deep voice and buffness, but it does make sense.
