Help answer this question below.
I hate even more people who slang people's non beliefs and their right to live a life free of religion. What do you think? Does that bother you?
Oh, you know what else I hate? People who trumpet their beliefs as if they were a badge of honor not realizing how very hypocritical they are making such a spectacle out of their religious beliefs which should be a very private and personal matter, better kept in one's home and church and not rammed down other people's throats
totally bothers me
its just another ugly form of prejudice
Their ignorance bothers me
Hate hurts only me. I can't control what people say and think. It seems the more you hate them the happier they are.
i'm not sure what slag means, but i think you are implying people who put down others faith or lack thereof...
everyone has a right to their own belief system and each persons beliefs are as valid to them as anyone elses is to them.
leave each other alone, i say!
peace
I find it kind of pathetic that those who claim that they don't believe in something go so far out of their way to find the questions about religion so that they can make their sorry little negative comments. Why don't they just create their own questions about what they don't believe and go commiserate with one another about how brilliant they are to believe that they are the ultimate intellect on the planet?
what is "slag"?
i don't hate people. kind of an important tenent of my religion. and as far as insulting my beliefs, i try not to let it bother me. who cares what someone thinks about what i believe - it doesn't effect what i believe. and it goes both ways - i don't have the right to judge what others believe in, but i'm not perfect. no one is.
Nah, one should respect others philosophy, hence try to see things my way!
Interesting that you would post this under "Catholicism"... Catholics have historically been some of the most prejudicial people in the world.
As for individual people - if you keep your personal beliefs personal, and don't try to push them into the public sphere - then there is indeed no reason to criticize them. But when someone tries to have their religious laws, for example, incorporated into the legal system - then I, and everyone else, have the right to criticize away.
Asking Catholics here as I believe you have a solid foundation for your faith. I am was born into a protestant family and therefore was wondering: Are Protestants failing God and society? Why would that be? Genuine question with little preconception.

Dear Catholics, is it possible that there are individuals out there that know more about God than the church? A genuine question, interested in your thoughts. Thanks.

I have a feeling that the poster directed that question at me. She's been boasting her beliefs all morning and I've been ramming her back so this was the perfect opportunity to give her a taste of her own medicine
