  • Just curious, if the guy is from Minnesota and gets arrested in Missouri, why would he be returned to Ohio? Shouldn't he be extradited to Missouri? What is it that you really aren't telling people?

  • "Interstate flight to avoid prosecution". This is a Federal felony, so it could be tried in a federal court. If the fugitive committed a crime in Missouri, he/she can be tried there for that crime. They can also be returned to Minnesota for trial in that state. Even if found innocent there, they can still be returned to Missouri for the crime committed there. It would usually go to a federal court, where both crimes would be tried. It can get complicated, but states are usually very co-operative, especially in the case of serial killers, etc.
