  • I'd just tell them the truth. You can best avoid those awkward situations when you give them the "adult" answer the first time.
  • A person who has not had an adult sexual relationship with another adult.
  • You could drop your pants ansd show them the difference. That's how Muslims do it I was told.
  • Just say it is a person who has not had children yet, or who is not married. 8 years is young enough so that that can be an efficient answer. If you're religious, you can always answer the baby question, "from God."
  • A person that has not truly loved another. So, stay a virgin until you find that person.
  • OMG, when my son was that age he asked me if I was a virgin! (I think he already knew what it meant and wanted to confirm it.) I think that was a red flag that it was time for the "talk" and that's what we had.
  • The best thing is to be honest. If you are uncomfortable or not sure how to tell him. Go to the library and check out books. Or you you could even take your child to the doctors and have them explain. Now days children are very curious and so us parents have to do are homework. Don't forget that in all schools they offer a sex education class. Hopefully this helps.(I have a six year old that wants to know why girls are different.)
  • how old?? if your children are the age that they teach sex ed in school i would tell them the truth. but if they are little tell them a virgin is a good girl that waits for marriage for everything.
