Have him contact a Senior citizens center and offer to volunteer his services to low-income elderly people who need help on their homes.

It's easy. Get him engaged in some work that is interesting. Like let him get in touch with his friends, relatives through emailing, Sharing photos and lots more. There are some softwares like Bigscreenlive that help seniors through easy email, online shopping, playing games, news updates etc. So make him tech savvy.

does this mean your honey do list has been completed?
OK just kidding, see if there is a adult ED school around and I'll bet there is at least one or more class there that will interest him, the PC class I TA in has 21 folks in it and at least 5-6 of the guys come just because they need to keep busy and wind up loving it so much they stay for the next semester.

You can do lots. Get him to help you around the house or do some gardening. Encourage him to learn computers. You can probably get BigScreenLive.com software, which will help him learn faster. It seems like something that’s specially designed for seniors.
