  • Immaturity has nothing with being a cop. Not all cops are the same and this applies to people from all walks of life.
  • i work with them. NO! Most of them are very strong, decent men! Sometimes, the ones right out of the academy can be a bit arrogant, but it passes within a year. Unfortunately, immature is forever with some people.
  • Immature and dump too.
  • Being a police officer is a very stressful job, maybe him acting alittle childish is a way for him to release this stress.
  • no you cant generalize any group of people
  • No not more than men in any other profession are all immature. Some are yes others no. Maybe it is his way of letting off steam
  • If you don't like cocky insensitive men, you won't like cops.
  • Cops get their way all day long on their shift. You think they want it different at home?
  • The bad thing about being a cop is they have to deal with people, and people are stupid.
  • Holy quick sweeping generalization Batman!! I varies from person to person, not job to job. Immature people are everywhere, so are mature people. You just got a bit unlucky, but hey, not worrying over speeding or parking tickets anymore right?
  • Not just cops. The entire military is "Immature and dump too." So are CEO's of corporations, salesmen, and just about all men except drug dealers and those in jail that women are so attracted to. . These disadvantaged men just got a bad rap but they are mature and know how to show off their bling and make up a good story about how they will always be there for you so that when you are a single mother you can say it wasn't your fault.
  • I'm also dating a cop and he's very mature, articulate and kind. Of course my situation might be different as I'm a guy and he's my boyfriend (ie we're gay). LOL But seriously, it depends on the person. Police officers have a difficult job and they have to deal with Man's inhumanity to man on a daily basis which can't be easy. Many just can't 'leave it at the office' when they're done for the day. You have to realize that their moodiness or distress and anger have nothing to do with you. I also have a stressful job, so we've learned to not take it out on each other, talk about it and give each other space when we need it.
  • Not anymore than in the regular male population. You get some that act their age, and then you get some that act their shoe size!
  • totally agreee ive been seeing a cop and first few months he was my perfect guy now hes always moody tired and stressed! i understand being a cop is a stressful job so i cut him some slack . but i have a stressful job as a nurse too(well reainee) now the mood swings and tantrums are begining to get too much. i also agree with whoever said about cops being cocky and insensitive right now thats him exactly. doesnt seem to value anyone elses opinion hes always right i dont know where the decent guy i met has went to
