The first set of mines you head in to I was about lvl 12. I leveled alot there. The Henne mines I was about 50.

It has been some time since I last played 12, but I think the average level of your party should be at least 40. Those bats are quite vindictive, so make sure you got the best weapons, not to mention the magic and items to counter act the bleeding status.
Then again, I am talking about the Henne Mines and not the Lhusu mines. I think you are good if you have your party averaging in the teens to twenties.
