Yes, you pre-cook brats in it before grilling.
I do when I BBQ and make bread.
Anytime I can use at least half a Beer in anything it's good!
Yes in Beef pies and some gravies.
Yes. I've read many recipes but I haven't tried too much. I'd rather drink my beer :-)
For batter to fry catfish.
I use it in batter for coating fish and onion rings. Have used it in marinade and cook a drunken chicken now and then.
No..but I've eaten food with wine in..does that count?
I've used it as lubrication or consolation during cooking.
When it comes to putting alcohol in food, I am more likely to use wine.
Sure...the first time was when I threw a party and a lot of stale beer left over in the keg the next day...I tried 'rarebit' a cheese and beer sauce over bread. Then in soups, gravies, as a braising or marinade sauce, in bread, and I compost any left in bottles left by others...makes the compost happy!
"Yes" and sometimes I even put it in the food!!! {{ hick!}}
Works weell in pancake mix. And I would rather have Carbonnade Flammande than Boeuf Bourgignon(sp?)
Only to ply the cook for an extra large portion. ;-)
Yes, my wife and I have both used beer in fish and poultry batters.
Yes, for beer bread
All the time. In stews, in batter to fry, corned beef, sauces, all sorts of things. I'm from Belgium, I think it's in my genes to cook with beer.
All the time - I can't cook unless I have a few beers.
make a beef stew .
It's great for marinating steaks!!
Yes, in chili and stews.
Beer Bread!!! Yummy!
Barbacue a whole chicken with a can of beer inside the carcass (open the can)
Boil brats and dogs in beer before grilling
Guiness in beef/brisquet stew
We always cook our thin steak for tacos with beer. We buy the eye round and have it sliced thin. To prepare the steak we layer the slices in a baking dish sprinkling each slice with lime juice and salt. Let that sit while the grill or fying pan is heating up (we prefer the grill, about 5 minutes before cooking pour a beer over the steak. We use Modelo or Corona. This is absolutely delicious!
No. I don't think that would taste good.
beer is a great meat tenderizer. I only use it in beef stew.
Yes i love drunk Chicken!
Yes, when I have a large roast, I seere it in vegetable oil, then pour a beer in after it's all browned so taht it can tenderize in the beer. Than I keep adding water to it as it evaporates. Makes it fall apart!!!!!
yep it's good for barbequeing
i use it all the time when im grilling.
No, what good would come out of that?
Absolutely, the main ingredient when I make steamed crablegs.
No, it doesn't sound very appealing to me.
I make beer bread every once in a while. I agree with Miss Anubis that beer burgers are awesome. Beer battered onion rings are a favorite too.
hell yes pot roast chili its also a great tool when grilling it can be used to tame a flare up and your thirst
Yes the most tender potroast I ever made had nothing more to it than a can of beer, a can of tomatoes, and a few hours of simmering on low in the crockpot. (I was in a hurry for something when I threw it together) Man it was delicious and I don't even like potroast..or beer really! I'd rather have chinese food and a margarita.
You mean, have you ever "wasted" beer? NO
I am not into beer ..
Yes...when I make dancin chicken for my baby boy.
WHILE cooking yep :-p, and Guinness makes a great steak and ale pie. :-)
Yes, I've made bread and pizza dough with beer, and I've also added it to my homemade chili. I had a friend who would boil ribs in beer before grilling.
Yes, very often when I am frying up a meal.
All the time, it makes any stews taste great and it also keeps the chef(me)well oiled :-)
