Help answer this question below.

I have a 1997 GMC Jimmy, with automatic transmission. When I use my 4wd it feels like it's grinding in speeds lower than 5 mph. Also my reverse doesn't work, only when it's in 2wd. What could be causing this, and how can I fix it?
