Informal support groups are frequently formed when one person bemoans his fate and another person listening realizes this is a fate which is a common experience for a large proportion of mankind. Having formed this support group, the second person immediately extends the benefits on the first person with the words "Welcome to the club." Dues, if applicable, are not discussed until later.
