  • Try fast food. Its not necessarily a fun job, but it will help develop some work ethic and attitude.
  • I worked at Hollister and my friends work at abercrombie, the jobs are really easy, and they hire a lot of kids. It's fun to socialize on the job and all you have to do is make sure it looks tidy for the most part. Plus, it beats working in food service, IMO, no grease
  • Pizza boy or mc donalds
  • Work as a mechanic helper, clothing store, toy store or a local water or adventure park!
  • Mow lawns. A lot of people will hire a kid just because he is taking some initiative. I would. Keep taking on as many lawns as you can until you have to hire your 14 year old friends to do the ones you can't cover. Pretty soon your managing and not mowing.
  • A good job... The thing is, a good job all depends on where you are trying to go or what you want. If you wanted to get into cooking or liked the work environment in a kitchen, that's one option. If you wanted to become a psychologist, something with people would be best. If you don't mind, go for whatever pays the most!
  • I suggest getting a job in a field you want to pursue. If you can't do that then fast food places are good starter jobs. They hire a lot of teenagers and it's a good way for a beginner to get work experience.
  • Fast food. It sucks, but it will help you develop some work ethic.

  • I've been at a bicycle shop since I was fourteen, I love the work, the people and best of all, it's almost zero stress. The downside is that in the winter, I have to find another seasonal job, so I go to Best Buy and make great money for a job that I truly despise, but that doesn't have to be the case for you.
  • If you drive, deliver pizza because the tips are good. If not, either a coffee shop or some sort of retail. I've avoided fast food like the plague since day one because I knew I'd hate it. That's just me, though. Coffee shops are good, though, because you have a regular clientele who you get to know and become friendly with. The tips are so-so, but of course there's your hourly plus the nice customers can be a lot of fun to interact with.
