Can anyone explain the psychology behind postpartum depression? (I don't quite understand it, but then again, I can't get pregnant)

Could post partum start long after the child is born? My daughter is 15 months now. I feel something is wrong with me, but I dont know what. I dont know if it is a form of depression.

just more hormonal than anything else huh, I guess I won't every fully understand then, seeing as how the closes I will get to experiencing it is with a future wife...thanks for the insight

The frustration, fear and anxiety of having a new baby, along with hormones can raise havoc on even the best mom.
BTW... congrats and good luck with the new little one.
