The bonding company will ask your permission, in writing, for a background check. sorry to say this, but if money or a great responsibility of your employment is involved, you will be rejected.
I believe convicted felons cannot be bonded in any state.
Over 10 years since your conviction??? No More arrests?? PLEASE do yourself a favor and have the record expunged. Bonding IS possible but you must lay the foundation and it will involve asking alot of questions. Do try the Federal Bonding Program for questions you might have. Do speak with an attorney - you can find low cost ones online as well that specialize in this area. DO NOT GIVE UP EVER!

I was in resently in D.O.C. and they now have a class that you can take adn there was given information about felons being bonded. not sure where though the gentleman came from richland college and talked to us.

You're reading Can a convicted felon ever be bonded in a company? I may be up for a promotion, and this may include being bonded, but I was convicted of a 2nd degree felony over 10 years ago. Was a first and only ever criminal conviction.
