Put a sponge at the bottom of the bucket, then put it on your head and proceed.
Persistence is the secret. Perhaps a stronger bucket as well. You could also try a large neck roll to transfer more of the energy from your body rather than just that of your head and neck. Let us know how it turns out, if you still have the capacity to do so.
