Right now, Google doesn't have any competitors that play in the same league. There are some that would like to, though. Microsoft has recently re-started its own searching service. As of now, its results aren't as good as Google's, though, but they did copy a lot of features from Google (like cached pages) and introduced some new ones. Instead, they buy their search results from other companies. Yahoo and AltaVista, for example, buy their search results from Overture.
