Interesting...
I've never been described as "boring" (except by my boys), but I've been described as "decent", "intelligent", "friendly", "happy", and many synonyms for "pleasant".
(You might want to look up the word "Pleasant". I looked at http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/pleasant and http://www.mijnwoordenboek.nl/EN/synonyms/pleasant ).
I guess if "pleasant" is "boring", then maybe I am (and I prefer to be), and maybe those who have described me mean that. Personally, I don't think so... ;-)
I gots no problemo with "pleasant". As a matter of fact, I'd like much more "pleasant" around! But I think I unnerstand what you mean, like without an exciting 'edge'?
;-)
Although pleasant sounds nice, I always think of tolerable.
aaarrrggghhh, I would hope no one describes me as pleasant. It's not a good compliment! Kinda just like "there."

"It's the pits". What is the origin of this saying? Possibly to do with a courthouse underground cell block somewhere in England.

You're reading What does it mean when someone describes you as pleasant? Boring comes to mind for some reason..

I asked because its how someone described me one time, and I wasn't sure what it meant. I always think of a pleasant day as kind of boring, mild

I'd rather be "pleasant" than "unpleasant", if you know what I mean. Nothing wrong with that. But you don't have to be boring or even mild to be pleasant. ;-)
