What is the origin of the belief in Heaven, a Supreme Being, a God? For some people the origin is: The Fear of Death. We are going to die, but can't stand the idea. We have created Heaven where we are going to meet with all the people we love. Any ideas?

Yeah, that whole thing is getting old. We already covered how religion is just a sociological construct designed to give hope and safety to the naive. Heaven and Hell is just the action - reward mechanism.

If you read Egyptian History you find some answers. The idea or creative thought that there was "something or someone" out there more powerful than man probably came to the cave dwellers long before the Egyptians, but the Egyptians were first to look at the night sky and "see" the gods. All religions, I believe, owe their thanks to the ancient egyptians.
