Question

Help answer this question below.

Found such and such pill; can someone tell me what it is? Why one may be curious wouldn't logic tell most people to dispose of it? Not one of my usual smart alec questions; just don't get it.

Those and the "am I/could I be pregnant" questions always have me shaking my head. I mean...how the heck would we possibly know??

Perhaps, but some parents might really want to know what pill they just found in their teenager's room.

I understand it seems really melodramatic. But, I have found pills in my son's room, and had no idea what they were. Which, in itself is pretty mind-blowing. I am *very* well versed in pharmaceuticals (not so good at spelling, though!).

I looked on drugs.com. No luck. erowid, bingo!! Kid was taking E. He now lives with his father...

The Physicians Desk Reference or some equivalent on the internet should be consulted. Most people on AB probably know what pills they take and not much beyond that, unless they are an MD. If you are looking for expert advice about meds, I would think it best to search somewhere besides AB. Just my opinion, you understand...

Asking people on the internet to identify pills is a bad idea. This, at least, will let you see what the pill looks like.

While I do understand that the questions seem ridiculous, there could be some very genuine questions out there as well. Some people may have found a pill in the house that they know isn't theirs and may be genuinely concerned that someone in the house is abusing drugs or may be cheating (in cases where Viagra might be found in the husband's clothing). In fact, after they post the question, they may indeed flush the pill down the drain or throw it in the trash. Of course, for every one of those concerned questions, there could be some kids posting questions looking to find something in the house to get high or something trying to see if some pill is safe to take. Of course, we shouldn't assume that's the case, but again, I do see what you're saying.
