Question

Help answer this question below.

My 13wk old cat constantly wants attention & bites if he doesnt get it.i started rockin him like a baby in a chair to calm him down & now he always wants to b rocked.he purrs & goes right to sleep for up to an hr.is this normal for a cat to act like that?

Of course it's normal. Cats are egotistical attention whores.

There is no normal cat behaviour :), each one is special and different & crazy in its own way. One of our cats loves cuddles, and hugs, the other won't let us pick her up or even sit on our laps, she's affectionate, but nutty! Enjoy your kittens nuttiness, i'm sure his behaviour will change over time as he gets older.

- yeah im sure it will. i loooove his personality. like right now... hes been sleeping on my feet for the past hour and a half or even longer. kittens are soo cute. i just hope that he doesnt get grumpy when hes older like my boyfriends cat.

I think it is so sweet that your cat is your baby, I really dont think there is anything wrong, like the answer above -all cats are different in bahaviors, I would however do with the cat what I would with a human child , give it that affection it needs if you have the time but also teach it to waite till you are ready so it is not dictating to you.for instance if it is being instant than put it in the bathroom and shut the door while you get things done or untill you have time to sit with it.note:i would not put my child in the bathroom but his/her bedroom with toys, or a highchair with snacks, but Ihope you get my meanning.lol

- thank you for your comment. thats actually what weve been doing with him. he thinks he is a freakin person half the time, and a dog the other time. if he gets too out of control we put him in my room and close the door. then he starts crying so i feel bad and let him out haha. but he will curl up on me like a baby and sleep. its cute. or he waits by the door for us to get home. he also has this thing where he wont sleep in his cat bed. he sleeps on top of our used clothes haha. anywho... nough rambling about my cat. lol. thanks for your input! take care.
