  • Absolutely. There is no evidence that man and dinosaurs ever co-existed.
  • You can believe whatever you want! I do believe the dinosaurs existed, and I also believe in the bible. I used to be atheist, but after the birth of my son, and some other answered prayers, I also believe in God. This may conflict with some people's beliefs, and I hope I dont get trolled for this, but thats the thing about freedom of choice. You are free to believe whatever you want. So yes. It's really possible! :)
  • dinosaurs existed.....maybe jesus did too...i dunno....all i know is that the bible and creation of man contradict each other
  • To believe that dinosaurs and man coexisted at one time is completely reasonable. The creation account of Genesis easily allows for this, especially if you get past the unscriptural and implausible notion that the "days" were each of 24 hours. Even though Jehovah's Witnesses are often maligned, anyone interested in a logical explanation of creation will do well to read their books "Life-How Did It Get Here? By Evolution or Creation?" and "Is There a Creator Who Cares About You?" Yes, these books have an agenda, but it isn't hidden. It concludes that we were directly created and gives logical, reasonable and scientific evidence for that conclusion. They also go on, in the final chapters, to demonstrate why this question is important and how it affects your future. Whether you like the Witnesses' other teachings or not, you will find these 2 books easy to read and understand and very enlightening. You can get more info at www.watchtower.org
  • The typical answer is that they were placed there as a 'test of faith' However, with radioactive dating (Carbon, Uranium) we can measure back (scientifically accurately) billions of years. There has been no modern scientific argument (of any kind) that seriously backs up the creationism theory.
  • There are those that believe in the scripture and accept it in a literal sense, meaning that evolution is an unacceptable concept, meaning that many believe that the Earth is of supernatural origin. These concepts are usually instilled in people at a very young age, it is common that most people carry on the traditions of their parents and ancestors blind faith beliefs with no forethought of critical reasoning or logical thinking. There are those also, that accept the the scientific views of evolution and the bible. Most of these bible thumpers commonly use anti-science to bend findings to support the will of the biblical text. For instance one remarkable comment made by the Pope to Stephen Hawking irrifutably proves this to be the case; According to Stephen Hawking his attendance at a 1981 Vatican Conference on cosmology reawakened his interest in the origin and fate of the universe. It was a combination of his own identification with Galileo and the pope's remarks about the big bang: "He [the pope] told us that it was all right to study the evolution of the universe after the big bang, but we should not inquire into the big bang itself because that was the moment of Creation and therefore the work of God. I was glad then that he did not know the subject of the talk I had just given at the conference - the possibility that space-time was finite but had no boundary, which means that it had no beginning, no moment of Creation. I had no desire to share the fate of Galileo, with whom I feel a strong sense of identity, partly because of the coincidence of having been born exactly 300 years after his death!" This quote from Brief History of Time (p. 116) is cited on a number of anti-Christian websites as evidence that the Church continues to repress sincere seekers of the truth. A couple of observations should be made. With this in mind, it can be assertained as fact, that people who hold a religous belief, hold to a theory of creation and will not accept anything beyond this theory. They hold true to the theory of Alpha and Omega, a begining and an end. Whereas the community of science percieves that their was never such points of existance at all, that creation theory is nothing short of fallacy, that the universe was never created at all, but always existed from all points of referance with no beginning or end in sight. Our entire galaxy, is but one grain of sand on a beach of multiple galaxys strewn across the coast of the universe. Hiden deep within this one grain of sand hides the Earth, and it's very, very, very small and minute life forms. And we are not alone, there are well over 10,000 life forms inhabiting other systems and planets within our own grain of sand, surely, we are not alone at all in this vast universe.
  • The first book of the Bible (Genesis) has been documented to be written somewhere around 1410 BC. Remember that as years go by in BC, the number goes down (1410, 1409, 1408, etc) all the way to 0 BC. After 0 BC comes AD which go in numerical order (1 AD, 2 AD, etc.). It was in AD that Jesus was alive and the New Testament was written. We can safely assume that the Bible itself is around 3,500 years old. The first book in the Bible wasn't written concurrently with the events in it. It was written afterward by Moses. It is believed that Adam and Eve were created around 4000 BC. That puts the creation of humans at about 7000 years ago. The dinosaurs "died out" about 65 MILLION years ago. So I do not believe that people lived with the dinosaurs. I do believe that the Bible is an accurate account. I believe that whatever killed the dinosaurs left the earth as it is described in Genesis 1:2 = "The earth was empty and had no form. Darkness covered the ocean, and God's Spirit was moving over the water." This concurs with the belief that an ice age killed the dinosaurs. It also concurs with the belief that the ice age ended and the earth was covered in water. That's when God began his work (Read Genesis 1:3-25 to learn more about the formation of the world and creation of Adam and Eve). I'm a Christian and these are my beliefs. You can choose to believe whatever you like. Here is a website about the Bible's creation: http://www.allabouttruth.org/when-was-the-bible-written-faq.htm
  • There is a fairly simple explaination and it is the one that is accepted by the Roman Catholic Church and non-Fundamentalist Protestants. This is that the Bible is not literally true and contains much that is mythical. The further back you go, the less reliable it is. Moses is supposed to have written the 1st five books of the Bible around 1400 BC., but in reality, very little of the Bible was written before 1000 BC.Even then, it was edited and altered for centuries. The Earth is 4.5 billion years old and the dinosaurs were destroyed 65 million years ago.
  • Well, for one thing dinosaurs DID NOT die out 75 million years ago, prior to a few thousand years ago there were no dinosaurs to die out anyway. The Bible is an extremely accurate document, and between 6,000 and 10,000 years old. It says that God created dinosaurs, humans, and all other land animals on the sixth day of creation, a fact for which there is far more evidence then their ever will be for the theory of evolution.
  • it is very possible if you are gullible enough.
  • Jesus manipulated the fossil record to test our faith. If you were a good sheep you'd shut the fuck up and pray. Yay God!
  • (i took my answer back)
  • Certainly the Bible is an accurate document. The Bible and Creation Science puts the age of the Earth at 6000-10,000 years old. Non-believing scientists believe in a very old Earth and that dinosaurs were about 60 million years before man. However, there is evidence of dinosaurs being alive today in central Africa: http://www.mokelembembe.com/ A scientist found red blood cells in a dinosaur a few years ago: http://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/dinosaur.html There are clay figurines, the coelacanth fish, stories of dragons (description of them is VERY similar to dinosaurs), and recently the Japanese government issues a stamp commemorating a fishing vessel that haul up was seems very likely to have been a modern day sea-dwelling dinosaur: http://www.viewzone.com/dinostone.ica2.html Evidence is all around, but those with the "millions of years" agenda stifle the truth.
  • It is impossible to believe in science and that the Book of Genesis is a true record of the facts. However, it is only that book which is in serious conflict with science. The remainder of the Bible, and particularly the New Testament, has no conflict with science.
  • the bible isn't 10,000 years old
  • Nobody ever said that dinosaurs and the Bible existed at the same time. Where did you get that idea?
  • The key here is in the definition of day... one could point out that at the beginning of Genesis, there is no definition of "day" but ignoring minor details like that - have you ever thought about how the sequence of events is remarkably accurate?
  • Because humans only became intelligent enough to write things down about 7500 years ago.
  • You heard people say. The bible is supposed to be an historical documentation of that era. Some of it was inspired by meditation. Some of it was witnessed by the eye. Anyone that does not know that there are actual bones of dinosaurs in every major museum and every grade school textbook is brain dead. The bones are in front of you. Real bones. Dated by experts in that field. Who cares what the bible says.
  • The problem with the 'accurate" description of the Bible, is that primarily, folks have counted biblical years and keep coming up with different results. An Old Earth Creationist came up with a creation date of roughly 58,000 BC. A Young Earth Creationist came up with a creation date of roughly 3900 BC. And there are a whole lot of other estimates as well. Not exactly a "spot-on" accuracy. http://www.religioustolerance.org/ev_date1.htm
