this sounds just like the question about the j.witness'. i am mormon myself although i havent been to church or practiced in YEARS. but i think people dont like mormons much because its a religion that they dont understand. its a newer religion and they have a little bit of different beliefs. mormons believe in almost all the same things that other christians do, but they also believe that there are three levels of heaven (which many do not understand including myself) and alot of people still think that mormons think its ok to have more than one partner. which isnt true at all. plus there are the crazy mormons (like there are in other religions too) who take things to extreme and make the true LDS church look bad.

Because people are intolerant of other religions, and unable to accept that theirs could be wrong. I am an agnostic, but will listen to any religions thoughts, and see what I think of it. Most people are to arrogant to do this.

I believe everyone has a right to believe what they wish , it may not be what I believe but that is ok we just will not discuss Religion . It would be far simpler if people were more tolerant of anothers ideals and beliefs

I wasn't aware that Mormons especially were attacked. I just thought all religions get attacked, but the more moderate they are the more people seem to accept their religion. It is the fundamental or extreme Christians as well as Muslims who get attacked the most. I must admit that I am nota fan of religions as they cause a lot of hate and violence in the world. I sometimes wonder whether the world would be better off without religions altogether.

I do not attack the Mormons, I only just disagree with their beliefs. The bible says that new scriptures will be given after Armargeddon/during judgement day. EDIT: I just know I am going to get downrated for this by a Mormon because of my belief.

I gave everyone points who answered because you all seem to say something sensible. There would be less of a problem indeed if A) people would be more tolerant of each other's religions; B) people would keep their religion private and not try to convince others that their religion is better; C) people took the best and most peaceful things out of their religions and actually practiced them everyday, such as, be helpful, be good to your neighbour, etc. Edit: Oops, I thought I commented on someone else's comment but instead I have 2 posts now- sorry for the confusion!
