How long does it take my hair to grow 3 inches? I've heard people sayin about 0.5 or 1 inch per month.which one is true? does zinc and calcium help it grow faster? I've heard people believing that how fast ur hair grows is related to ur gene or race.

Hairs grows approximately 1/2 inch per month, often the front or bangs grow faster than the rest. You should be able to grow it 3 inches longer in 6 months! It goes by fast!
