1. Because the TEACHER(S) isn't(aren't) available to answer questions? 2. The TEACHER isn't responsible for doing the PARENT'S job--so why should the PARENT do the TEACHER'S job? 3. If SCHOOL work is done at HOME--should HOME "work" be done at SCHOOL?

They DON'T retain most of it anyway! Just a total waste of time! I've learned more from the History Channel and the Discovery Channel than I EVER did in school!

I think they should have some homework... but reasons why thy shouldn't to me are... school already consumes SO much of their childhood and teen years that I think it isn't fair that at the end of the day after 9 hours(counting bus time) of being away from home in a school atmosphere.. they have to bring it HOME with them too? They could always work on the homework being more general.. not papers and text to read, more like homework on using the things they're learning in school in their daily life at home. HOMEWORK.
