When certain people decided that what was taught in schools was inappropriate, that punishment by schools was inappropriate, that ANYONE telling their child what to do was inappropriate. It's gotten to the point where you almost have to be careful about saying "hello" to a child, because the parent may think you're a molester. Basically, as the "inappropriateness" grew, and fear of molesters and kidnappers grew, we lost the "village" aspect of raising our children.

I look around society and I see a bunch of nut cases that would do damage to my kid. I for one am happy that they have no "communal responsibility" for my child.

I can raise my child to follow my moral guidelines better than anyone else.

I think it ended when lawyers started becoming more active in your community. Now everyone is so afraid to say the wrong thing to someone elses child. We don't want to get sued!

It ended when society became greedy,people then took a "dog eat dog" and "me,me,me"attitude....shame
