Most slaves didn't mind being slaves, they didn't know any different. Actually many were treated very well. Back then Prozac would have made them probably more agitated, and suicidal given the recent discoveries of the drugs popular side-effects. Prozac has the tendency to reverse the present emotion from what I gather, if you are deppressed it will un-deppress, and when fine, it will depress.

I think if there was Prozac - The slaves would of been able to free themselves all the sooner. Lets face it - Prozac and such are the choice drups of the upper and middle class. They would be both lazy and even better more stupid. I agree it would of been better for everone back then. A completely successful slave rebellion would of done a better job at ending such discrimatory feelings. As it stands now though - Prozac has allowed us to elect a president because his name is familiar and funny and because he believes in the second coming.

I agree that a vast majority of slaves were quite content with their situation. They had anything they needed and did not know anything different. After the end of the Civil war most former slaves did not know where to go. But I think that if slavery would have been kept on, there would have been more and more changes. As well as the economy has changed in a radical way, I think slavery would have changed the same radical way.
