Well it's kind of difficult for the world to betray me, as I don't trust the devious bugger to begin with. I'm going to have to go with betray the world.
-
Is that kinda like Lazarus Long's (Heinlein's) "Do unto others, before they do unto you!" I agree with that.
-
Nah. I'm a better martyr than prick! ;-)

I'll just hide in the shadows and let it betray itself, and when it's all dead, I'll go picking corpses and ruins for food, and the occasional gold...which will no longer have any purpose-dammit! That plan doesn't work. >_> Damn you, world. DAMN you. *Shakes fist.*

I simply can't and won't betray.
-
I wouldn't want to betray anyone period. As for the world, well I've already been betrayed so that one done.
-
Are you sur there aren't any other alternatives?
-
I would rather betray the world, because if they world betrays me that means, to me at least, that I have 0% control of my life!!
-
If by "the world" you mean other people...then no, I guess I'm destined to get treated like crap for a long time by other people.
-
Granted, it sounds great to say that I would rather betray the world than to allow it to betray me, but unfortunately I'm just a compassionate pacifist (it's in my nature) who can't help but get betrayed over and over again until the day he dies.

As an optimist and having a self-sacrificing nature I would have to chose letting the world betray me. To my wine I sing of the times of peace, when officers shall not make calls at the door. The ruler is bright and virtuous, His ministers loyal and trustworthy. Abiding by propriety and courtesy, The people have no cause for lawsuits. From three years of farming, nine years of stores, The granaries overflow with grains While the elderly have no need to labour. Rainfall is abundant and of proper time, The myriad of crops a great harvest yields. From the highways are pulled back mighty steeds, Their manure used to fertilize the fields. From dukes down to viscounts, all love the common people, demoting the unworthy, raising up the good – As fathers and brothers they nurture the people. Those who defy the law are punished according to the severity; though none is so selfish as to take roadside property. The jails are all empty, and on Solstice day no sentences are pronounced. During the Han dynasty, sentences for criminals were pronounced on Winter Solstice. All live to eighty or ninety, and pass away only of old age. The ruler’s compassion touches all creatures equally. Have the world betray me. Because then I could sleep at night knowing I was doing the right thing.
-
I'd have to be a paranoid schizophrenic to think the whole world was about to betray me. Oh and also I'd have to have a gigantic ego thinking that the whole world would even know who I am. But...okay...supposin'...yeah, I'd try to figure out a way to get all of you rat bastards before you got me. It would take some brainstorming though.

Yes!

I'm doing what I feel is right. I'll not betray the world, I don't think it'd betray me. The people in the world-- well, there's betrayal all the time, but the very world itself will not betray anyone. But, this question reminds me of The Lion King. "When the world turns its back on you, you turn your back on the world." Not my motto.

If I could betray the world I would betray myself, and the world doesn't care so much about me to betray me. If it would I wouldn't be surprised, so I'd say the second.
