My favorite is Deer Valley near Park City, Utah. Nice place with a great atmosphere and not as crowded as some of the other places in the area.
Colorado
Thousands of places around the world are great, but if you are asking about Australia you cant go past Perisher Ski Resort as you get 4 resorts for the price of one,Perisher Valley, Blue Cow Mountain, Guthega and Smiggin Holes. Also the mountain range has all of its ski slope above what is known as the natural snow line in Australia at approx 1600 metres.Anything below this relies heavily on snowmaking which is great but has a limited window of time where temps get cold enough to turn on the guns,it also melts faster and becomes slow slushy and wet to ski.Mid July is usually the best time to ski Australia.
There are so many places you could go skiing, depends where you are, how much you want to spend and the apres ski you are looking for.
Below are 3 of my favorite places, 2 in Europe and 1 in Canada because I am not sure where you are located or the level you are at.
