A 1950 Lincoln

For American cars...50 merc. and I think it was a 54 Studabaker Presidnet coupe.
For Foreign cars... Triumph TR3, Austin Healiy The big one not the Sprint, Elva Couriour. I think the Jaguar D and several of the XKEs. Alpha Romeo
Thats easy a 1957 Chevy Belair
1955 Chevy belair the best one out thier in the 50s
1957 Fairlane 500.
57 Chevy
I'm not up on years of cars or styles or models..the first car I ever "fell in love" with was the XKE Jaguar...probably it was the early 60's though. :)
A 1958 Thunderbird. Really, it's hard to pick just one because there were so many beautiful cars during the 1950s.

Vetts were so much nicer cars in the 50s than any time since. Thinking the first was 53. The other one I always liked was a MGb - I believe 1955 - classy looking, a real pain to keep running. +5
1953 Studebaker Commander
58 Chevy Impala 2dr. hardtop with two tone paint chartreuse and olive.
57 chev convertable
We had one of these, and I loved it. It was the only dependable car we had.
A '57 Chevy convertible( I was friends with a guy with one,,it had the hard top though,,But it was fast and beautiful,,,Pearlescent white body and a candy apple red top!)
A Bentley.
I'm partial to the 55 Chevys...I love the 55 Nomad.
I think a Toyota Crown (Toyopet) would be a novel car to own from that time period.

'57 FORD

My two favorites are a red 1958 Lincoln Continental Convertible with red leather upholstery,
and the best 1958 four door Convertible that Buick never made.
You can see this one of a kind vehicle at http://www.altonaecho.com/ArticleDisplay.aspx?e=2173078
It is for sale for $22,500 from the builder of the vehicle, Doug Watkins, who had had spent 10 years building the car himself out of a Limited four door hardtop sedan. Cosidering the vehicle is one of a kind, the price is very good. In fact, If I had the money, I would buy it in a New York minute. So grab it before it gets away. Someone will get a unique car.
Lucien
The 1955 Chevy. Classic and beautiful.
1956 Starfire 98 Olds Convertible With spinner hubcaps Leather interior....be still my heart I had one!
the fins and chrome on the 59 caddy
The Triumph Mayflower.

1956 chevy Belair, turgouise blue with white and a small block engine and oh yes 4 on the floor,,I think it may be the sweetest ever looking car
1959 Chevy
I believe it was a 1953 MGb which I understand were a pain to keep running but looked nice sitting still. May be wrong on the year, may have closer to a 55 or 57 - really don't know cars.
The 56 Packard Caribbean. My father used to own one. The last decent car Packard ever made. Sorry, don't have a photo.
1959 Ford Thunderbird Convertible.
55 Chevy coupe was my all time favorite.
51 Mercury
A 1955 Chevrolet.
Eather a 1957 Crysler Impirial or 1957 Buick Roadmaster. I cant decide!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always had a soft spot for the Triumph Mayflower.

Gawd, I can't choose, the 59 Lincoln with the frenched headlights, the 57 J-2 Oldsmobile, the 58 Buick Estate wagon, (the car with the most chrome ever) The 55 Packard Patrician Convertable with the red leather interior was beautiful. The Studebakers and Kiesers of the eaarly fifties were pretty, and all the cars mentioned so far, well I surely wouldn't junk them.
I guess I have to choose the 58 Merc Turnpike cruiser Convertable. It was like riding around in your livingroom.
