  • Oh, man! Free porn! Points to the mormons
  • This is highly doubtful. Thank goodness we have a place like this to get some real facts and squash baseless rumors.
  • Yes, and they all hold a video camera and then sell the footage to porn sites on the internet.
  • I'm mormon, and that definitely isnt true. I've heard of a religion where the girl wears a white dress and they leave the room to consumate the marriage, and when they come back they check to see if she was a virgin by if she has blood stains on the dress or not. Thats probably just a myth too.
  • I believe this was the custom back in the days of King Henry the VIII, if not before. This has not been a practice for a loooooooong time, I'm sure the Mormons wouldn't stoop this low, anyway. Of course, only my opinion! God Bless, <:))))<><
  • Absolutely not.
  • absolutely not i am mormon... but i have heard a culture or religion that you have to have your wife's mother present when you consumate.. but i dont know if that is true or a myth
  • This reminds me of high schools girls trying to start a rumor in a innocent fashion. "Is it true that she slept with over 50 guys?" Politicians do this too. Hillary Clinton: "I don't think Obama is a Muslim, is he?" both comments are created to place those thoughts in peoples heads. people now wonder whether or not the girl slept with 50 guys, all along while the girl who asked the question plays innocent knowing full well that she has spread a lie. I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you have a decent intellilect therefore you must be asking this stupid question with the intent to slander a good faith. the answer is no. it is not true.
  • Nope. There was an old Jewish tradition way back when where after the ceremony the bride and groom went into a tent, did their thing while everyone else waited outside, and when they were done, came out and started the (couple day) party. Even then, nobody watched. They just waited. Can you imagine the pressure? Ugh!
  • No. Of course not. Just more heresay designed to belittle the Church. As a matter of fact, if people were known to be setting up such a scene, they could quite quickly find themselves excommunicated.
  • I would think, from what I know of Mormons, that they would never submit to such a shameful thing. It sounds like a slander. Yes, this used to happen, but not in Mormon circles. In the past, there had to be proof of a woman's virginity, so sometimes there were watchers. It depended on the family as to how long they actually waited inside the bedchamber, but for royals, it was usually pretty much of a public thing, to be witnessed by the councillors and the like, as was royal childbirth. But for Mormons, no.
  • Well that's a new one. Right up with all the Christians that take communion. Is it true those Christians are cannibals?
  • With video equipment?
  • A: No. Never. This is considered as private and sacred as it is in any Judeo-Christian Church. Follow up question: Where did you hear such a ridiculous claim?
  • Close, they telecast it on closed circuit tv that only Mormons can tune into via a special filling implanted in their molars. No, just kidding.
  • It has been ALLEGED that in The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints the newly-weds must consummate their marriage within their temple in front of witnesses. These allegations spread all the way to CNN. No such practice has been in place within The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
  • that is just not true at all. I used to be a mormom and have left the church. I was not excommunicated, I left of my own will because I did not believe it was 'the one true church', and told them to remove my name from their records. I mentioned I left the church so you would know I have no bias here, and yes, that is not true, not even a little. If that is a rumor going around, it is one big lie, and I detest lies.
  • I'm not mormon but that sounds like a crock of *censored for the sensitive folk* meant to slander them.
  • This is just a bit of anti-Mormon propaganda that refuses to die.
  • I agree with everyone else who suggested that it is Propaganda/Slander...
