I'm not sure, but research Depo-Provera intensly before having the shot. It has more side effects than most bc. My experience has been that most doctor's aren't offering it as often and the one's that seem to be aren't gyn's but general medicine doctors. I had the shot years ago and refuse to let my daughters have the shot. There are several other forms of bc that are much better for the body.

I started the depo shot 1 week ago and they told me that I had to wait 24-48 hours before having unprotected sex.
