On various TV shows, when I watch some episodes seen before, sometimes things happen differently than it did the first time, making me think, "Hey! Is my memory playing tricks on me? That's not how they did it last time!" Why does this tend to happen?

    Maybe they used several takes and more than one was good enough to show on the air, so they may have interchanged different takes on different airings.

    I have no source for this; this is just my hunch.

    You memory is playing tricks on you. Things get all garbled up in our brains and they create composites of some of these shows out of pieces of many. You are normal.
