No one starves to death because they choose to especially children. In the nation such as they are in Africa the population has become to large for the land to support as in the wild mother nature is taking its course and killing off the weak. you make a very good point, thats always been my stance that if god did exist he must be a cruel being, free will can only be to blame for so many things, starving children isnt one of them. in which case i would just rather live my life believing there is no god and sh*t just happens, helps me sleep at night

people in third world countries have WAY too many children, they are oblivious to the fact that having many children is not good in the modern world, as it only causes more mouths to feed (in the past, even a one or two centuries ago they were vital for farmwork, mainly) They need to give out condoms, not food!! It would only encourage them to keep having children

Unfortunately, yeah. Infants are too stupid to find food for themselves. Don't they know that they could just go to the store and get something? Well, I guess if they live in some under-developed country, they might not be able to do that. Still, it's their own fault for choosing to be born in that country. In their past lives they must have kept all the foods to themselves and let people starve to death and so their karmic consequence has ripen in this life time and they suffer what others suffered because of them in previous lives. However, we must help as much as possible so that we don't have to starve to death in our future lives. Give within your means both to human and animal charities. You will not loose a cent of what you give. The gains in your future lives will be many fold, perhaps born into a filthy rich family or win a massive amount of money from lottery or struck gold from your business ventures etc... What goes around comes around many folds more. Nothing happens by coincidence in this reality although to the mortal eyes they are nothing but coincidence.

many different answers since the question is rather vague. my first one is no, they survive because of their free will. when free will is no longer enough they perish. it could also be said third world children die as a result of the free will of wealthy nations, who exploit the countries so they can get cheap products and sell them to their own people at skyrocket price. leaving the people of the third world nations poor and unable to feed themselves let alone their children. again it could also be said that the children of less developed nations perish because of the greed of their own leaders, who are more corrupt and sell their own people/land out to fill their pockets with money while leaving their people poor and country in chaos. theres a lot of possibilities. perhaps you should ask yourself this question now since you know what it is your really asking.
