What's the point? Why not just grow up to be whatever I feel is right... and if I don't have the right idea of what's "right", then how would I know what a "right" role model is? : : :
Yes,I need a role model and I'm 62 today.
I'm 17. I don't think I want a role model. Having a role model means you aspire to be like that person. But I want to figure things out by myself, and do things my own way. I want to be me. There are many people I respect but I am an individual and want to be my own person and have my own beliefs, on my own terms. I don't want to follow anyone.
I think everyone one does have a role model for different stages of their life, even if you don't have one now, you may have had various people in your life that represent the stages you may encounter. Good or bad.
My grandmother was a good role model to me and she represented being a mother, a woman, a grandmother and sometimes even a friend. I also watched her interact with other people in various stages of her life, so as I age I think of her often and the things she used to do and say. I'd have to say she was a definite influence. So yes, I think all people need role models; it doesn't mean that you will have one every moment of your life but perhaps one that influences or influenced certain stages of your life.
I am 35.
No, 35 :)
I don't have an actual one person as a role model, but I take into account the actions, methods, and various other ways of how certain people act. For instance, I smile alot and I am friendly to everyone because thats how my mother was and I saw how many friends she had growing up, but I also don't like my mother for certain reasons, I don't idolize her I just took the good things and applied them to my everyday life. I'm 22.
Old enough not to need one
I need a proper real Swami for a role model.
I 55 years old and have not found a real Guru yet.
Still I am hopeful.
Do I need a role model now, yes I do and I am 35, of course I need a role model, for every one needs that person to get to the next stage of the game. The learining game, and like an apprenticeship one needs to follow an example that will see the apprenctice through to the next stage, and when the apprentice becomes the teacher the cycle begins anew, thus giving back to what was given to him.
I am 62,and I think my role model was my dad.
35 and I'd prefer a swimsuit or underwear model
Myself, my age is still classified.
It never hurts to have a role model, but I'm not telling my age --- ok, I'm past 50.
17 and I could use a role model...have one in mind?
do i need a role model? I was always socially insecure and weak. my parents got divorced when i was 15, but i never really saw my dad as a role model. im the youngest in my family, and yet, im the man of the house now. i always looked forwards to independent people and those who had strong personalities, the social dominant figures. i tried so hard to be like them, but i failed. at a certain stage i realized that i wasnt being myself anymore, and was going against my own wills, so i realized that one cant be entirely like another. im 17 now, and im still trying to figure things out. what hit me today was that im not the only problematic kid, and that others also have the same problem as i do, and they take it differently. i guess im gonna have to figure it all out by myself, not knowing whether im doing 'right' or 'wrong'. the question still lays to me; do i need a role model?
I look up to rock stars like Ozzy and Sting I'm an 18 year old grudgy punk girl
At this stage, I am a role model, give what I have done through out my life. (age 65)
