I think we should eliminate those without enough education, because democracy requires an informed electorate. Then we should eliminate those who are extremists on either the right or the left, because extreme voters tend to produce lopsided government. Then we should eliminate the very old, because they have trouble punching the cards all the way through. Then we should eliminate the very young, because who really knows their ass from a hole in the ground before they're 30? Then we should eliminate the women, because frankly... they're too emotional. then we should eliminate non-whites, because they are too busy trying to get payback for prior discrimination to be clearheaded. Then we should eliminate people over 6' tall, because they tend to look down on everyone else, and eliminate everyone under 5' 8" because, for a white male, that should be considered a minimum height to be taken seriously.

I've got some other categories too, but the list is getting kind of long. Suffice it to say when all other factors are weighed, there will be one voter left in my system.

I think voters should have some sort of basic knowledge about the current government and current events. Otherwise, what are they basing their votes on? Emotions and soundbites. If you don't know who the Speaker of the House is and you don't know who the Senate Majority and Minority leaders are -- simple information like that, you shouldn't be allowed to vote.

I think an ignorant electorate will be the downfall of this country.

Driving isn't a responsibility it's a privilege. And we would be better off enforcing the standards we already have in place (for voting) rather than inventing new ones that we'll ignore in a few years.

We already have standards for voting in America. Ex felons can't vote in some states. Illegal immigrants shouldn't be allowed to vote, but some do if they have fake ID's. Otherwise, everyone else should be allowed to vote, even if they didn't finish school. They still have to pay taxes!

No. You can't really generalize things such as "dropping out of school"; people do things seen as "deviant" for various reasons, not only because they're lazy or bored.

Everyone should be allowed to vote.
