GetDataBack Data Recovery 2.31
GetDataBack is a highly advanced data recovery software, which will help you get your data back when your drive's partition table, boot record, FAT/MFT or root directory is corrupt or lost; when a virus has hit the drive; when files are deleted; or when the drive is struck by a power failure. GetDataBack can even recover your data when the drive is no longer recognized by the operating system or when all directory information is lost. Advanced algorithms will make sure that all directories and subdirectories are put together as they were, and that long filenames are reconstructed correctly. GetDataBack is safe because it's read-only, which means the program will never attempt to write to the drive you are about to recover. The software enables the regular user to conduct his own data recovery by guiding him through five easy-to-understand steps, thus giving the advanced user the possibility to interfere with the recovery and improve the results by examining the scan log.

can you just do a system restore point from a previous date to get the file you need back? Otherwise you are asking something illegal. Sharing Registry keys are a federal offense as noted by the US pirating act. Ever hear of Napster?

Okay, and any of them actually recover anything? I have tried many, and all have failed, they recovered trash only.
I'm waiting for your reply to know if any of them actually work as supposed.

undelete plus is the only one I have used and did recover what I needed, as for what some one else might need, I can't promise.

I shall try it then.

Tried Undelete Pro: The free version (2.9), was giga slow, like 200x slower than the new shareware version, but it finds as much as the new one.
I also tried GetDataBack for NTFS, ... well, it was a bit slower than Newest Undelete Pro and also has an old UI, but it seems to find 2-3x more...
But they both failed for me. All data they recovered were corrupted and useless, but atleast they tried. I'm keeping GetDataBack for just in case...

The only other place you might try is next spot and has freeware, shareware and trialware and some that you flat out buy. so look close. http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/downloads.html just type in the blue search box for what you need to find.
