Who holds the career record for most steals of home base?

    Ty Cobb, with 54 (50 for Detroit, and 4 for Philadelphia). He also holds the single season record: 8, in 1912. Twelve players have stolen home twice in the same game; the only one to do it since 1927 was Vic Power of Cleveland, in 1958.
