Help answer this question below.

I think that Implanon is seriously the best option for me- Im a 19 year old college student in a commited relationship. Implanon is an implantable contraceptive: http://www.implanon-usa.com/ . Anyone have opinions, experiences, or advice regarding this?

    i have used this before and i have just had another one inserted.
    the piggest problem women have is irregular and unpredictable periouds.
    i had it for 3 years and i had no period for 2 and a half years, then all of a suddon i got really heavy bleeding all through the month and very painful stomach aches! i came off it, tried the injection for a year and, now i have just got another 1 inserted.
    i never had any major problems or side effects and most of the time you dont even realise its there, its just as affective as the pill (i say more so as its very easy to mess up with taking the pill, also if your ill it could fail)
    you have a local annistetic then your nurse/doc puts a needle in your arm and releses the inplant, it may be bruised for 1-2 weeks and uncomfortable.

    I guess the only thing is...no method is ever 100% safe so you might want to combine with another method.

    Personally, I would also consider the IUD. I am wanting to get the Paragard IUD also known as the Copper T IUD.
