Scary. I would call the vet. Most have a 24 hour answering service that can get ahold of the vet...just like if you called a doctor. I hope you find someone.

Type "24 hour Vet + (your town)" for a service that is open. I'm sure you will find something.

If you don't, keep the dog quiet, and give sips of water every few minutes.

does your vet not have an emergency number. With mine you can call the main number and one of the vets will call you back. Not much you can do tonight. For vomiting you can usually use pepto bismal but with the mucus and bloody stools, I would be afraid to use anything without a vets ok. Call the vet and see if you can get one to call you back even if you have to call one in the next town. Some cities have vets that will come in for emergencies (though you will PAY for that). GL

If you can't get ahold of somebody you could get some pedialyte from walmart or something. the electrolytes in it will keep the dog hydrated

They have 24 hour er vet's sometimes vet offices have after hours numbers when you call them. You need to find one and get him to it. This could be a very serious matter. It sounds as if he ate something he shouldn't have and it affecting him. Good luck!
