Dark walls, lighter bedding, dark pillows in different colors, candles, lavish window treatments, wall sconces that can be dimmed, a patterned rug and great mirrors. :)

Oaken furniture, hardwood floors. Choose the shade of oak depending on room size. A large room will support the darker shades.
Dusty rose(not pink) walls with burgandy trim. Burgandy window and bed treatments with a touch of the rose. Offset with cream, rose and burgundy accent pillows. Accent rugs, don't hide the warmth of hardwood.
Don't clutter the room with a lot of furniture.
Soft light, scented candles, Poster bed with sheer rose hangings. Go easy on nicknacks.
Personally, I like silk sheets but everyone has their preferences.

I think a Palm tree-tropical decor would work with your sage bedding and curtains. It has a lot of dark wood tones in the decor, that goes great with your cherrywood furniture. You can drape mosquito netting from your bed.

i'm thinking.. a soft/med yellow base paint.. with white waynes coating... red accents in the room and a soft white sheer around the wooden bed. carpet would be a shade of red.
